Vancouver, BC, June 1, 2017 - Roughrider Exploration Limited (TSX.V: REL) ("Roughrider") announces that it has elected to not proceed with its proposed option to acquire the Sabin Zinc-Copper property from Commander Resources Ltd. as previously disclosed in its March 6, 2017 news release.

Roughrider has decided to pursue a different exploration objective with the signing of a Letter of Intent to acquire the option of the Iron Butte oxide gold project in Lander County Nevada as announced April 25, 2017. Roughrider has been granted an extension to June 20, 2017 to complete the definitive agreement on Iron Butte.

David Tupper, P. Geo. is a qualified person within the context of National Instrument 43-101, and has read and takes responsibility for the technical aspects of this release.
